Treatments
Everything your family needs under one roof
We explain what we find, show you the options and let you decide. Written estimates before any treatment beyond a check-up.
Check-ups and general dentistry
Examination, x-rays where needed, white fillings, crowns and root canal treatment. A yearly exam is free with your PRSI Treatment Benefit.
Hygiene and gum care
Scale and polish with our hygienist, stain removal and a plan to keep gums healthy. Thirty relaxed minutes, no scolding about flossing.
Invisalign and orthodontics
Clear aligners for teens and adults, planned with a 3D scan so you see the end result before you start. Retainers included in every plan.
Children's dentistry
First visits from age two, fissure sealants, fluoride and a no-drama approach. Kids sit in the chair, press the buttons and leave with a sticker.
Same-day emergencies
Toothache, a broken tooth, a lost crown or a knocked-out tooth. Ring before 10am and we will see you today, including Saturdays.
Whitening and cosmetic
Home whitening with custom trays, composite bonding and porcelain veneers. Realistic before-and-after examples shown at your consultation.
About the clinic
A neighbourhood clinic that treats you like a neighbour.
Brightside opened on Ranelagh Road in 2014 with one chair and one dentist. Today we have three surgeries, four clinicians and more than 6,000 patients, most of whom still come from within a mile of the door.
We kept the things that mattered from day one: the same dentist every visit, appointments that start on time, and prices printed on the wall so nobody has to ask.
- Dental Council of Ireland
all clinicians registered and insured
- Digital x-rays and 3D scanner
lower radiation, no gloopy impressions
- Wheelchair access
ground-floor surgery and accessible toilet

Four clinicians you'll get to know by name
You see the same dentist at every visit. If a treatment needs a colleague, we introduce you first.
Dr Aoife Brennan
Principal dentist and founder. BDS Trinity College Dublin, 2006. Special interest in root canal treatment and nervous patients.
Dr Tomás Ó Ceallaigh
Dentist and Invisalign Platinum Provider. BDS UCC, 2012. Over 600 aligner cases completed.
Dr Priya Nair
Dentist with a postgraduate diploma in paediatric dentistry. The one the kids ask for by name.
Sarah Doyle, RDH
Dental hygienist, qualified 2016. Gentle hands, honest advice and a very good memory for your favourite radio station.
Patients say
What people from around Ranelagh tell us
I hadn't been to a dentist in nine years because of a bad experience. Dr Brennan talked me through everything, stopped whenever I raised a hand, and I've now been back three times. No shame, no pain.
Cracked a molar on a Saturday morning. Rang at 8.15, seen at 9.30, temporary crown on by 10.15 and the bill was exactly what they'd said on the phone.
Our two (4 and 7) actually look forward to going. Dr Nair lets them 'count the teeth' with the mirror and the sticker box is a big deal in our house.

FAQ
Insurance, payment and practical questions
Do you accept health insurance?
Yes. VHI, Laya Healthcare and Irish Life Health plans typically refund part of the cost of dental visits. We give you an itemised receipt to claim, and for DeCare Dental members we can claim directly on your behalf.
What is the PRSI free check-up?
If you've paid enough PRSI contributions, the Treatment Benefit Scheme covers one free oral examination per calendar year and €42 towards a scale and polish. Bring your PPS number and we check your eligibility while you wait.
Do you offer payment plans?
For treatment over €500 (Invisalign, crowns, implants) we offer 0% interest plans over 6 or 12 months through Humm, subject to approval, plus a 24-month low-interest option. Most Invisalign patients pay from €99 a month.
Where do I park?
There is pay-and-display parking on Ranelagh Road and the side streets (€2.90 an hour, free after 7pm and on Sundays). The Swan Centre car park in Rathmines is a six-minute walk. The Ranelagh Luas stop is two minutes away and we have a bike rack outside.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Thursday 8am to 7pm, Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm. Emergency slots are held every morning, so ring before 10am if you're in pain.
What if I need to cancel?
Change or cancel free of charge with 24 hours' notice using the link in your confirmation email. Missed appointments or late cancellations are charged €40, because that slot could have gone to someone in pain.
Overdue a check-up? This is the nudge.
Most people who put it off are surprised how quick and painless it is. Book online in under a minute or ring us on 01 496 0000.
